Girl Date!

Day 5, started out as a suck fest.  I work up hungrier than a bear in the spring. (very fitting don't you think)  I had my shake right away, waited a bit then had some soup, and of course I was still starving.  I had planned to have a girlie date with my sister-in-law Andera.  My Jerry Bear was planning a Wrestlemania party, so not something I wanted to do while my internal organs where feeding off themselves.  Being in a room of middle aged men yelling at the TV while a they watch a bunch of half dressed dudes in banana hammocks frolicking around a ring, doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Andrea is making another niece or nephew for me, so she often needs to feed the fetus.  I like to joke that she is having triplets and have been told how not funny I am.  The fetus wanted to eat at Moxies, so we went there for snacks before our movie.  They were so nice, they totally strained soup for me to have.  It was the tastiest thing Ive had in a long time.

I made it through the movie even though Andrea was eating popcorn right beside me, it smelled delicious, while I drank my water and enjoyed the fabulous Mr. Gyllenhaal.  I've totally forgiven him for the whole Brokeback thing, it was time.

Opti-gross

I don't know how, but I made it through Day 1, I worked an evening shift and well, it sucked I was so fricken cranky, so nauseated, so just not in the mood!  I could feel my stomach eating itself, I had a headache and could have easily killed someone or punched a baby! (I wouldn't really punch a baby you know that right)

Day 2, I went grocery shopping highly not recommended when you haven't eaten in two days except for Jello.  I can actually hear my internal organs shrinking.  I picked out my Jello and my Crystal Light oh and my broth I know you're jealous.   Jer had a hard time picking out foods for him and the boys to eat for the next two weeks he feels all guilty about me not being able to have solid foods.

Day 3, worked a day shift.  Up at 630 am on my feet all day running labs and answering calls for all the needy emergency doctors, talk about high maintenance.  I felt so sick all day, nauseated, shaky, like I was going to faint, so I decided to take a walk down to the bariatric clinic to see if I could do anything different to stop feeling this way.  I get there and start talking to Kelly and I start crying like a little girl, I was done something needed to give.  Then my saving grace Vivian to the rescue, Viv decided that I needed to be off work until surgery and I totally agreed.  Money will be tight, but my health is more important.

Day 4, had my Opitgross this morning after Jerrybear let me sleep in till 1100 because he loves me.  I decided to take the boys out for a bit, we went to McDonald's playhouse I was drinking my Crystal Light while they ate their happy meals.  It didn't bother me at all.  After that we went to feed the deer at a local conservation site.  When we got home I was so worn out and all I did was drive my car for a little while.  I hope this gets easier as the days go on.  I want to be healthy and I know that this pain and discomfort I am going through is just for a short period of time.

Away we go!

So today I start Optifast doesn't it sound fan-taste-ic?  I can just tell it will be the most delicious chalk drink EVER!  I "get" to enjoy 4 liver shrinking drinks per day for the next 12 days!  OMG I almost peed a little there from all the excitement.

When I got home from the pharmacy and actually looked at the optifast and how boring the packaging is and how it really does look like a prescription it was then that I wondered can I do this?  Maybe, just maybe they put all the money into the flavor and that's why the packaging looks like crap.  That could happen right?

I'm super nervous about all of this because starting the opitfast means I REALLY doing this, that I am that one last step closer to surgery.  I really want to be successful, I am doing this for so many reasons I can't even count.

I've been looking at before and after pictures of gastric bypass patients, and the more I do, the more I am worried that my va-jay-jay is going to hang down to my knees.  I think I have a regular amount of curiosity about the subject, not in a creepy way, a normal REGULAR way I promise.

Wish me luck, 'cause I'm gonna need it!

Dude, where's my car?

Why is it when you are "the Mommy" that you automatically are supposed to know where ALL of the things are.  I don't play the DS, how the crap do I know where it is, nor do I know where you put the games.  And kudos to the Nintendo effers for making said games the size of Wheat Thins cracker and just as flimsy.  I also love when I get "hey mommy remember that toy that I had in my hand last week, ya I'm gonna need that?"  and when I ask what toy and they look at me like I'm the crazy one.

How does a boy lose a prize possession like his blankie?  Seth is on Blankie number 2 it is just shreds of fabric knotted together he has had surgery many times in his 9 years.  Brady is on Blankie number 3 original Blankie was a white fabric with blue Winnie the Pooh drawings on it, he lost 2 of those and we could never find the fabric again, he now has one with ducks made its flannel and has held up pretty good for the past few years.

Our house should be known as the land of the lost you can put something down and then 2 minutes later its GONE!  Could it be because one of my kid tornadoes just ran through the room, or does my house actually have a black hole?
